Description

177 bills of two dollars were printed.

Twenty-sixth issue, June 1780, totaled $600,000, interest bearing (5%) and payable in December 1786. It was minted to pay for the State's quota of the cost of exchange of Continental Currency which was to be redeemed on a 1-for-40 basis. Guaranteed by the United States. Printed by Hall & Sellers on paper watermarked UNITED STATES.

The back of these bills were printed in red and black, using devices from the Continental Currency. This was the only issue payable in Spanish Milled Dollars.
